Pre-registrations are available for both Landrush (LR) and Go-Live (also known as General Availability - GA). Additionally, Telnic, the official registry for .TEL Domains, will also be releasing two-character (aa.tel or a1.tel) and numeric-only (from 2 to 7 digit length names with or without hyphens) domains.

Who Should Be Interested?

  • Companies with 2-letter or all-numeric brands or trademarks
  • Vanity number operators or those wanting to get keyboard-numeric versions of their names
  • Individuals who want to be known by their initials or with a penchant for lucky numbers
  • Businesses using shortcodes for marketing and support services

Exceptions NOT available for Registration:

  • One-letter (from a.tel through to z.tel) and one-digit domains (from 0.tel through to 9.tel)
  • Two-character country code top level domains (ccTLDs, such as uk.tel)
  • Combinations of digits and/or digit and hyphen strings that contain eight or more characters (for example, 12345678.tel or 123-5678.tel)

    • 3-character or 3-digit Domains: 327.25* (net: 275.00) USD per Domain/Year for ALL PRICE CLASSES
    • 4 or more character or 4 or more digit Domains: 238.00* (net: 200.00) USD per Domain/Year for ALL PRICE CLASSES
  • Note:In the event that you register a domain during landrush for multiple years, then the first year will be priced as noted above and the subsequent years will get priced with regular annual .TEL reseller pricing.

  • Go-Live: June 14, 2011 at 14:00 UTC
  • Allocated on a First-come-First-Served basis
