DNS to Serve You Better
In recent months, we have performed an extensive upgrade of our DNS infrastructure. We have moved from 6 to 13 nodes spread across the world and the average response rate has dropped from 131 ms to just 28 ms.
We believe a solid and stable DNS should be a standard feature for all our customers, which is why we are now making our new anycast DNS the standard DNS for all the domains we manage on behalf of customers and Resellers.
Starting from April 1st, we are making some changes to the HEXONET DNS service which we believe you will like. Below is an initial overview of what to expect and know more information is coming from us on this exciting development soon:
Since we are making our "Premium" DNS the Standard DNS for all our customers, we will no longer charge for DNS service. You can still manage your Premium DNS zones as before, but our system will not accept any new orders for Premium DNS subscriptions after April 1st.
"Basic" DNS zones will simply be known as "DNS Zones". Resellers will also be able to enable DNSSEC for these zones at no extra cost for the domains registered with HEXONET.
It will be possible to host domains registered elsewhere on the HEXONET DNS (so-called "external zones"). This option was previously only available through the Premium DNS service. To allow you to experience the full greatness of our new DNS service, we will not be charging for external zones for the rest of 2021 (a small fee will apply from 2022).
Our goal is to make your life, as our partner, easier and set to better serve your customers while attracting new ones. HEXONET’s new advanced DNS is the edge you need in today’s competitive domain marketplace. Using our DNS for all your domains, including external ones, is a smarter investment than managing unicast servers in-house.
