Domains from the Donuts Registry – Initial EAP and GoLive – February 5, 2014

The Donuts Registry, holder of the largest new TLD applications, has opened their EAP (Early Access Program) registrations for the initial set new TLDs including: .BIKE, .CLOTHING, .GURU, .HOLDINGS, .PLUMBING, .SINGLES, .VENTURES

An entirely new process from the well known Landrush period for new domain releases, the Donuts’ EAP is intended to give the general public seeking high value names earlier registration access than the traditional Landrush process.  The way EAP works is as follows:

• Historically, the Landrush phase for new gTLDs occurrs after sunrise and before general availability
• Multiple applications during Landrush for the same domain name are settled by auction after a 30- or 60-day window
• EAP instead takes place during the first seven days of a gTLD’s general availability (“GA”)
• Interested individuals, organizations, businesses and others can register names on a first-come, first-served, non-restricted basis
• The eighth day and going forward is general availability standard registration and pricing
• To reduce multiple domain registrations for the same string, EAP is tiered pricing with the first EAP day at the highest premium price and each subsequent day a lower price until the EAP period ends.
• Please note that renewal pricing is not at the EAP price paid but simply at the standard general availability pricing

EAP – Early Access Tiered Pricing Structure:

• EAP Day1: 12,495.00* (net price: 10,500.00) USD + Annual Registration Fee
• EAP Day2: 3,123.75* (net price: 2,625.00) USD + Annual Registration Fee
• EAP Day3: 1,243.55* (net price: 1,045.00) USD + Annual Registration Fee
• EAP Day4: 654.50* (net price: 550.00) USD + Annual Registration Fee
• EAP Day5, 6, & 7: 130.90* (net price: 110.00) USD + Annual Registration Fee

• Additional One-Time EAP Fee:
   
• This fee decreases every 24 hours during the first five days.  HEXONET customers can create EAP pre-registrations in advance by using the following relations below:

• A single EOI can only be converted to one domain application and converted EOIs will immediately be deleted

With the EAP in process, this also means that .BIKE, .CLOTHING, .GURU, .HOLDINGS, .PLUMBING, .SINGLES, .VENTURES will also be available for general registration shortly (February 5, 2014).
