For more than 30 years, the .ORG domain has been a foundation that powers the inspiration of millions online around the globe. From individuals to large corporations, small community groups to multinational NGOs, each .ORG aims to positively impact the communities it serves. These organizations work tirelessly to fulfill their respective missions; they care deeply about the people they serve and truly live for the causes they support and promote.
The .ORG Impact Awards
The Public Interest Registry (PIR), the people behind .ORG, launched their 3rd annual .ORG Impact Awards for November this year. These awards acknowledge and celebrate .ORG domain name users of all sizes that are making a global difference, connecting and impacting communities, contributing to society and using the internet for transformative change. Through these awards, PIR is celebrating the global .ORG community for its work to heal, inspire, transform and connect communities over the past year. There are seven award categories subject to the nomination and judging process. These are as follows;
- Health and Healing in a Time of Pandemic
- Providing Quality Education for All
- Championing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Overcoming Climate Change
- Rising Star
- Fighting Hunger and Poverty
- Building Better Communities
Finalist and Award Celebrations
Winners will receive a custom award and the opportunity to choose a non-profit or NGO organization of their choice to receive a monetary donation of up to $45,000 (depending on the award category). Winners will also receive free advertising and promotion during this time. Nominations are now closed, judging is complete, and award finalists have now been announced. Check them out now!
Participating in the process
