Meet New Third-Level Domain .kiwi.nz
InternetNZ recently introduced a new Third-Level Domain ".kiwi.nz". It was launched provisionally on September 11, 2012. One of the main provisions was that the registry needed to receive more than 500 registrations within the first month for registrations to start being treated like a regular Third-Level .NZ Domain. In the first 24 hours after launch this threshold was surpassed.
InternetNZ, a subsidiary of the Domain Name Commission, has officially launched .kiwi.nz – a move that has pushed the total number of .nz registrations past 500,000. InternetNZ is the recognized delegated manager for the .nz country code top level domain. http://internetnz.net.nz/about-us
