.AT Surpasses 1,000,000 Domains Registered!
Last summer, we featured a blog posting on the ccTLD (Country-code Top-Level Domain) of Austria, .AT. As a brief follow up to that posting, NIC.AT, the official registry operator of .AT, announced that on January 10, 2011, the Registry reached its 1 millionth registered domain!
Since January 10th, the slogan used at the Austrian Registry has been “Welcome to the club of domain millionaires”. Richard Wein, the CEO of NIC.AT, is enthusiastic about this new milestone and was quoted saying, “We are excited about the one millionth .AT domain – it is the best proof for the success and constant growth of the .at-zone”.
.AT has been growing tremendously with an average growth between 10 and 14 percent per annum. In fact, just in the first week of January 2011 alone, over 7,000 .AT domains have been registered!
HEXONET would like to wish the entire team at NIC.AT much future success.
