IMPORTANT - Registrant Confirmation Emails from CNNIC Skip to main.

CNNIC, the official country-code Top-Level-Domain operator for .CN domains, will soon be sending out confirmation emails to .CN registrants once again. These emails are to confirm domain registration information and must be responded to by registrants who registered their .CN domains prior to December 14, 2009. Emails will be sent between September 10 and September 30, 2010.

Upon receipt of a confirmation email, registrants are required to verify whether the domain name information is correct or not. If the listed information is correct, the registrant only needs to click the URL link to confirm their domains and complete the confirmation process.

Otherwise, if the listed information is incorrect, registrants need to contact their registrar to have the domain information corrected. For this purpose, 1API as the responsible registrar for .CN domain names registered through HEXONET, installed a dedicated email address.

Please submit possible changes to the domain name information to: [email protected]

The registrar will submit all modified domains back to CNNIC for re-confirmation, which upon confirmation from CNNIC, will result in a subsequent confirmation email with the updated information. Again, if the information is correct, the registrant only needs to click the URL link to confirm their domains and complete the confirmation process.

Registrants who have already confirmed their domain information or registered their .CN domains after December 14, 2009 will not be affected. Additionally, registrants with multiple .CN domains will only receive one confirmation letter from CNNIC for all the domain names they own.
