DNS for External Domains ONLY - Price Increase

For domains at other registrars that are using HEXONET for DNS (External Domain), starting January 1, 2012, DNS fees will be increasing for these external domains.  Again this is ONLY FOR EXTERNAL DOMAINS, while domains registered at HEXONET/1API are not affected and DNS is completely FREE of charge as usual.

This price increase is due to the rising cost of managing external domains.  Since external domains are at another registrar and not directly under the control of HEXONET, when various DNS issues occur, for instance DDOS, the cost to mitigate the issues are exponentially higher.

Current External Zone Prices:

Basic Costs per Zone:  0.36* (net price 0.30) EUR/Year

RRs(*) inclusive: 10

Additional RRs(*): 0.0476* (net price: 0.04) EUR/RR

NEW External Zone Prices Starting  January 1, 2012:

Basic Costs per Zone:  4.28* (net price: 3.60) EUR/Year

RRs(*) inclusive: 10

Additional RRs(*): 0.54* (net price: 0.45) EUR/RR

* The GROSS price includes Germany's 19% VAT; many resellers pay the lower NET price without VAT.

Update of Policies and Procedures for CoCCa TLDs

Many of you may have already noticed the change in CoCCa TLD policies.  CoCCa changed their policies effective November 7, 2011 for the following TLDs:  .AF, .CX, .GS, .GY, .HT, .KI, .MS, .NF and .SB.  As such for every new registration, domain renewal or owner change the registrant and the administrative contact will receive two emails from the registry. One is a "welcome" message from the Sponsoring Organization that advises them of their rights and responsibilities as well as the contact information of their registrar; the second is an "activation" email with a link that the recipient must click on to

a.) accept the TLD Registrant Agreement and AUP policy; and

b.) confirm the validity of contact details provided by the registrar or reseller to the registry.

On Renewal or change of Registrant the policy must again be accepted and the contact details confirmed with 21 days or the domain will be suspended.

For new registrations our system will show the domain to be "PENDING CREATE" unless you have confirmed the link.  In the event you DO NOT confirm the link within the 21 day window time frame, then the registration request will get denied and you will receive a full refund automatically to your account and you will have to re-apply for registration again.
