Resend FOA - Form of Authorization Feature now available

Due to spam-filters and other email issues, customers and resellers often request Support to resend FOA (Form of Authorization) emails.  The Control Panel has been updated to support resending of the FOA on the direction of the reseller.  Simply login to the Control Panel, kindly follow this process:

Manage Products > Domains > Incoming Transfers.

View incoming transfers.  There is now a new "Resend FOA" button.  By clicking this button the FOA to be resent to the registrant and admc-c of the respective domain.

IMPORTANT - .ORG Price Increase - RENEW PRIOR to July 1, 2012 and SAVE!

PIR - Public Interest Registry - announced that they will also be increasing the annual prices for .ORG domains starting July 1, 2012.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A REGISTRY (PIR) PRICE INCREASE ONLY.  HEXONET will not be adding additional margin on top of this price increase.

* The GROSS price includes Germany's 19% VAT; many resellers pay the lower NET price without VAT.

Changes to gTLD Transfer Policy - Effective June 1, 2012

ICANN recently ratified changes to the Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy (“IRTP”).  These modifications take effect on June 1, 2012.  To view the latest Transfer policy in full please visit the following link: http://www.icann.org/en/resources/registrars/transfers.  As a convenient summary, the major change in the policy is as follows:

The Registrar of Record (the loosing registrar) is required to notify the Registered Name Holder (Registrant) of the initiated transfer out action to allow the Registrant to cancel the transfer in case it was fraudulent or in error.

HEXONET will automatically send a FOA email for each outgoing transfer to the registrant / administrative contact  allowing the registrant to cancel the transfer.

.UK Deletions - Better Handling of .UK Failure Period

As part of the phasing in of multi-year registrations for .UK domains by the Registry - announced in previous newsletters - HEXONET is pleased to now support .UK domains deletions that execute 89 days past expiration, which is to the benefit of our resellers.

No longer will UK deletions occur 1 day prior to a domain's expiration date.  Until now, .UK domains in AUTODELETE / AUTOEXPIRE status had a .UK Failure Period of -1 Day.  With the new process, .UK deletions occur 89 days after expiration (.UK Failure Period is now +89 Days).  This means that .UK domains can now be renewed (restored) up to 89 days post expiry.

Please note that .UK domains in AUTORENEW will continue to execute renewals one day prior its expiration date (remains the same).
