That’s 38.4 BILLION BOTTLES of wine!  Worldwide, Europe and the United States remain the largest consumer markets for wine, with the US being the #1 wine-consuming country by volume.  Italy tops the charts when it comes to per-capita wine consumption. "State of the Domains" Report from the Domain Name Association

The Domain Name Association (DNA), the new non-profit global business association that represents the interests of the domain name industry, has just published their latest "State of the Domains" report.  This report includes excellent statistics on the industry and key analysis from stakeholders. Even HEXONET is featured in this report. As well as a very interesting article that touches on the growth of new gTLDs in China. Below is an excerpt:

"China drives growth: Let’s zoom in on two of these bestsellers: .win, launched in August and .top, launched at the end of 2014. Both have gained a significant volume based on their home-base in China and mainly through Chinese registrars. Their total volume is at almost 700,000 registrations and they top the charts in net growth. Those charts indicate what is currently the most impressive driver behind nTLD growth: China. The top-ten largest contributors to nTLD net growth contain seven domains whose primary market is China. Volume is the word here. Even a non-generally available domain like .xin (owned by e-commerce behemoth Alibaba) is already at 10k domains. It’s therefore no surprise that the share of China in the nTLD market is increasing further and now stands at 36%. The gap with the USA (21%) is big and seems to be increasing."
