I. Characterization of Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in a designated file on Users' device and contain certain data on Users' preferences on Hexonets websites and other information that helps Hexonet to enhance their browsing experience. There are two types of cookies: The 'session cookies' are erased immediately after the end of the Users' browsing session. The 'persistent cookies' are not deleted when the Users quit their browser, rather they will be stored on their device for a fixed period of time. In that way, the Users' preferences will be saved for their next visit. These cookies are not used to store any personal information. Thus, cookies used by Hexonet cannot track any personal information or identify an individual user.
Cookies are used to identify Users' devices and browsing preferences and provide features for a more user-friendly and personalized browsing experience, such as an easier navigation on Hexonet's websites. In other words, cookies use the stored information to tailor the operation of the Web application to Users' preferences. Hence, they ensure that a Web application can respond to each User as an individual.
